I have a 90' 2 seater. I need to replace the stock rotors and need new pads. I'm looking for a good set of rotors that have performance in mind without spending too much money. I drive my Z hard and only autocross once or twice per year. I was looking at a set of hawk ceramic pads with r1concepts.com or brakeperformance.com slotted rotors. Don't want to spend over $250 for pads and rotors shipping included. I also have to rebuild my front calipers due to sticking pistons (the reason why my rotors and pads are gone btw). Z1 has a rebuild kit that includes everything I need plus two additional o-rings that they claim are "exclusive to Z1". Their kits start around 15 bucks. Do I need their more expensive kit or will a normal advance auto parts 6 dollar kit without these "exclusive o-rings" work just fine? Last question. I want to paint my brake calipers. I have heard that even the best high heat paint will still need to be redone after couple years... I want to powder coat mine. The guy at the shop claimed it would be much better and was asking $50 for each caliper. Is this reasonable? Is this bad idea? I like the gloss and high resilliance of powder coating. Next have to get new shoes and pull upper plenum to replace one of my injectors. It's a factory injector and it's clicking loudly...
